SASSA has made good progress with their new security system. Over 42000 people who get social grants have now registered their fingerprints and other personal details. The agency started this new process in September to stop people from making fake applications. SASSA boss Themba Matlou says they will help fix any problems that come up with the new system. Their spokesperson Andile Tshona shared that people can sign up at any of the 432 SASSA offices across the country. The registration process is for new people applying for grants. It’s also for those who need to update their information or have their cases reviewed. SASSA wants to make sure all grant money goes to the right people.
